We are talking about some pretty heavy things this month, so I am passing along a couple of fun hymn-related items that I didn’t have a chance to post last month.

Hymn #4 Hymns for the Church, 1912

Have you ever checked out the back of the hymnal, where the hymns arevcatalogued into several categories?  It can be a fascinating experience to pursue the indexes that follow the hymns and responsive and unison readings.

Do you think it sounds dry, boring? The Old Farmer’s Almanac offers a look into the back of the hymnal with this fun and informative article, What to Do During a Long Sermon.

Let ALL the People Praise Him!

I also want to point you to a Covid music project with people from 50 countries singing together Amazing Grace. Because I love hymns and virtual choirs and hearing people worship the Lord in their own language, this video brought me great joy. It seemed a shame that I didn’t get to show it to you in February, so I’m sharing it today. I hope you enjoy it!
